This exceptional hand forged hand axe is the work of Kyle Willyard of Old Dominion Forge. The axe is hand forged, and his touch mark is stamped in the head with the initials ODF. The head has a 2-3/4" cutting edge and measures 5" long. The dark distressed hickory handle measure 13" overall, and has a slight swell at the end. This handy size axe has a very good feel when held in the hand. A leather scabbard is included with the axe, and provides a snug fit. It closes at the top with a pewter button. We note the stitching at the top of the scabbard is starting to let loose. A leather loop is sewn to the back to accept a 2" wide belt.
